Kanye West Touch The Sky Concert

Ok, I owe this to some ppl for quite sometime. Here's my entry to Kanye West concert on 08/April/2007, my first concert!!! (and I don't even know who's Kanye West before that.....hey, I'm not into rap at all).

The tickets. Concert tickets liddat meh? I though will be more colourful and got the artist face or something, at least look more collectible lar. But this is plain and boring.

Not cheap. RM153, free standing. If not because Kin Fai wanted so much to go and paid for me, I wont pay so much for a 4 hours entertainment, not even for Jay Chou...>_<
But 'tak kenal, maka tak cinta' (you'll never love if you never know), I never know how much it's worth it (except for the pain from the blisters on both my poor legs as aftermath of standing and dancing for 4 hours).

I'm in the middle arena, best spot for concert but standing.

Too Phat - our local rappers. Not bad.

Mr. West

After waiting for 1 hour and 30mins, and it starts with the popular.....

Diamonds are forever (forever, forever)
Throw your diamonds in the sky if you feel the vibe
Diamonds are forever (forever, forever, forever)
The Roc is still alive every time I rhyme.
Forever ever? Forever ever? Ever, ever? Ever, ever? Ever, ever? Ever, ever?......

He performed a lot of rap songs, which none of it that I could sing along with. But some die hard young girl fans could really rap-along all his songs. And the coolest thing was he had his own ochestra band, with harp, violins, those cool instruments. The concert was jam-packed with ppl, majority non-chinese groups. Some really young (filthy rich kids). Some of the ppl where very rude to smoke in crowded and air-conditioned place. Ignorant, inconsiderate and rude. But overall, the concert was a superb experience, great music from Kanye (but poor sound surround system), smashingly hot and lots of dancing and jumping.

At the end of the concert. There's Lewis Hamilton in that crowd, somewhere. And ppl keep flocking there after the concert. I caught a glimspe of his flock of hair.

^_^

Those who don't know Kanye West, here's a closer look. Kelly's believe it or not, he met with an accident and fractured his jaw. He barely survived the crash and went through a series of face reconstruction.

RIP my SE W700

I am darn clumsy and forgetful. I left my very dear companion gadgets in the toilet. The most valuble possesion I'd ever purchase. I really like my SE W700. It's not even a year old and I loved it so much that I thought I will not change to another phone for a long long time. Sigh....how could I be so stupid and left it in the stupid toilet. Why must I have this habit to take out the phone from my pants everytime I pee????? Whyyyyy???

An hour after I left the toilet then only I remember I left my poor phone in there. And of course it was gone. I tried to call back my own number but the thief already switched off my phone, obviously wanted to keep the phone for herself. Greedy bitch. You will lost your phone one day!! And you'll know how it feels to lost all the important contacts, smses, pictures and videos. Stupid bitch.

Finally, hoping to no avail, I had to get back my numbers and credits. After work, Kin Fai and me went to the Maxis center to retrieve back my numbers. My friends couldn't believe that I lost my phone because they could call me not long after that. That's the advantages when you register for your prepaid numbers. When I got my numbers back, I went to look for a new phone. I can't live aday without a phone. Can you? I bet you couldn't. Our life is so controlled and manipulated by those electronic monsters.

Guess what phone I got?

SE Z610i
Couldn't believe Sony Ericsson had something in pink???

It's pretty and better than the pink Moto Razr. It has 3G and the audio and camera were as good as my old one.

And the shiny reflective cover of the phone can be use as a mirror too. How useful!!!

Ooooo.....so beautiful.

It's a pre-early anniversary gift from Kin Fai. It's not saimeng lar (showoff)....the new phone cannot compensate back the lost memories contained in my old phone. I will love this pinky nonetheless and of course with much more care. Perhaps get a strap and strangle it around my neck, like those aunties.

At first I thought the camera pixels were not as good as my W700 although both were suppose to be 2.0mp. But I guess not so bad after all.....

Chu Cheong Fun (close-up not as clear)

To me, this is the best best bessssssst chu cheong fun in whole Malaysia....or maybe Asia. Yeah, I tried the Hong Kong ones, not as best larrr.

See the crowd?

It was located at a very secluded Pasir Pinji area. They sell the chu cheong fun in their house compound. As you can see, it's a very small compound and everyone has to wait for their turn, with numbers given by the vendor. When we arrived, we were #16. Some ppl da-bau(takeaway order) a lot....a lot as in 20 packets. Some who ate there also da-bau 20 packets. That's why we had to wait 30 minutes for our heavenly delicious chu cheong fun. I always ask K.Fai to eat there but he don't like chu cheong fun. How stupid. FYI, it's located at Jalan Pasir Pinji 5.
I'd ate there since primary school. And after 20 years, everything is still the same, the taste, the crowd and of course the condition of the place improved a little bit....they added a standing fan, if not, it can be very hot.

Exposed in the light. I looked so fair....^___^

In gloomier place.

Enjoying my soft shell crab handwrap. A must-have everytime I went to Sushi King.

Want some?

I miss my old phone......T_T
Hope your next owner treats you well and not as forgetful as me.

Gadgets for Girls

After slacking off for two weeks, I'll pay off by blogging something interesting and pretty, in girl's eyes only of course, but I bet some guys will find those irresistibly pretty cool too.
I'm surfing some gadgets for girls and those are a few things that catches my eyes. And if I have the moolah, those are already in my possesion without hesitation.

1. Sony Vaio C Series (Blush Pink)
Sony once again came out with something so out of the box with this rainbow series but I only have eye on the Blush Pink lappie. It also comes in seashell white, spring green, espresso black and urban gray. Even the name is already so darn chic. There's even a build-in camera just above the 14.1 inch widescreen LCD.
Sigh....but it's a limited edition series and each baby worth around rm5000++. Sigh. When I went to KL last week, I still haven't see this model anywhere in the Sony shop in Midvalley. I don't think it'll even comes to Malaysia because it will definately be selling like hot cakes to those hot chicks. >__<>_<

2. Knomo Teeli Laptop Bag
If I happen to become the lucky owner of the blush pink Sony lappie, I will not put my baby in those dull dead black laptop bag. Black lappie bag is a dead giveaway to those lappie snatcher. Despite the sleek and sweet design, this Knomo bag also comes with an integrated tracking system. If you lost your lappie together with this bag, the help center of this bag manufacturer will track down your precious. Isn't that great? But the greatest will be when everyone stare with envy and awe when I pull out my blush pink lappie out of this Knomo. It will a perfect match-made in heaven. *__*

Oo...the price? I googled and the price was around RM700 and I don't think this brand is available in Malaysia.

3. Motorola Cherry Blossom RAZR V3
Yokie might not agree with this because the spec of this phone is not as competent as some other newer and cheaper phones. But RAZR is so hot not because of the functionality but of the style. The cherry blossom design by Ami James were available in Malaysia and if I remember the price correctly, it was around RM1200.
I always love the original pink RAZR and now they tattooed it with cherry blossom. How creatively sweet!!!!

4. Nabaztag Wi-Fi Smart Rabbit
Nowadays, toys are getting smarter and smarter and not only build for children but also sensitive adults (aka woman). This Nabaztag Smart Rabbit is too cute to be true. It's not just a mere standing toy, they don't call it smart toy for no reason. It connects to computer via Wi-Fi and can do a lot of cool things. It could be your clock, your alarm, waking you up with your favourite mp3 track, play your favourite songs, alert you when there's new gmail or your friends are online in GoogleChat, forecast weather and lullaby you to sleep. And at the end of the week, the honey bunny will summarize the weekend for you, whether it's a fun week or a lame week.
Who need Tamagotchi that only know how to eat and play and shit anymore?

5. Panasonic Lumix or Sony Cybershot?

Everyone lust for a digital camera. And I lust for a camera with a feminine touch. There's a whole bunch of pink dgcam out there, some with shocking pink (Canon Powershot SD40 and Nikon Coolpix S9) but Lumix DMC-FX01P 6mp and Sony DSC-T10 7.2mp(wow!) gave the best shade. The soft pink looks better with Cybershot and the design was sleeker. But looking at my friend's Cybershot, it doesnt seem to be too friendly despite the high resolution. And since this Lumix offers Image Stabilization which keep pictures clear and blur-free, and I also prefer camera with protruding lens, so I'll take the Lumix. Don't ask me the price, I'm too lazy to Google anymore, do it yourself.

6. Sony NW-S700F Walkman
How many item in my list that is from Sony? But this Sony MP3 player is another brilliant product. This is the first player that has the ability to reduce and even cancel the outside-noise. Which means you don't have to increase the volume if you're at a crowded place. The player has a superb bass technology which makes the sound clearer with no distortion. The smart gadget supports Advance Lossless, MP3, AAC, WMA and Linear PCM music files. I did not google for the price also, but I bet this is definately a four figure gadget. But when it comes to audio, nothing beats Sony. iPod you say? Nah, I don't fancy the pod.

7. Hello Kitty Rice Cooker
This is just tooooooo adorable. The Kitty's merchandise are soooo wide and covers almost everything a girl needs. There's nothing smart about this rice cooker and I'm not going to make much elaboration. I just think the rice cooker is sweet (yala, because of the color mah).

Does everything has to be pink? Yes, because it's the better shade. But all the gadgets are way over my budget. Sigh....(T_T) But today at PC fair, I got myself some pink gadget.

An optical mouse. Price : RM16. Pretty!! And I'm happy ^__^

Here's some of website that features really cool and pretty gadgets for girls. It's time to empty your spouse's wallet and happy surfing.

Use Cruelty-Free Cosmetic Brand

I just bought a new foundation powder and then I found that the manufacturer was questionable of animal testing cruelty. I felt extremely guilty for purchasing such brand and I did quite like to use that brand. Aaarrggghhhh....

It was in my 2007 resolution to do more in promoting animal-cruelty. I got a link from Remembering Sheena to check on the manufacturer or product name that was cruelty-free. It's a shame that most cheaper cosmetic range like L***** and M********* were marked as 'questionable'. And those that were labeled as cruelty-free were much more expensive.

-Check brand-

Here's some of those brands that are cruelty-free that are easy to find in Malaysia (but some are really expensive lehhh....)

Aramis, Aveda, Avon, Bobbi Brown, The Body Shop, Chanel, Clarins, Clinique, Crabtree & Evelyn, Dermalogica, Donna Karan Beauty Company (DKNY), Estee Lauder, Elizabeth Arden, Paul Mitchell, La Mer, La Prairie, M.A.C. Cosmetics, Murad, The Natural Source, Neutrogena, O.P.I., Origins, John Paul Mitchell Systems, Revlon, Staedtler, Stila Cosmetics, Ted Baker Fragrance, Tommy Hilfiger, Urban Decay, The Wella Corporation (Sebastian), Alberto Culver VO5, St. Ives, Stuf.

I am shocked to find out that Johnson and Johnson and Procter and Gamble products were listed as TESTER on animals. They had a huge range of bathroom products which I'm sure your bathroom were flooded with products from this two giant cosmetic manufacturer. Perhaps we have to start using our local halal brands, ex: Zaitun, Follow Me, Safiah(I think wrong spelling lah)....I can't remember anymore. -_-

A touching Poem

I know I'd posted a few entries in a span of 12 hours but I just read this lovely poem that made me cried (hey, I never cried over a poem but this is too darn touching). Must share with you guys this touching poem. But those who does not share the love of animals might not understand this heartbreaking but beautiful poetry.

In loving memory of Sir Fred

I'm Still Here, Mom
Please don't mourn for me
I'm still here, though you don't see me.
I'm right by your side each night and day
and within your heart I long to stay.

My body is gone but I'm always near.
I'm everything you feel, see or hear.
My spirit is free, but I'll never depart
As long as you keep me in your heart.

I'll never wander out of your sight,
I'm the brightest star on a summer night.
I'll never be beyond your reach,
I'm the warm moist sand when you're at the beach.

I'm the colorful leaves when fall comes around,
and the pure white snow that blankets the ground.
I'm the beautiful flowers of which you're so fond.
The clear cool water in a quiet pond.

I'm the first bright blossom you'll see in the spring.
The first warm raindrop that April will bring.
I'm the first ray of light when the sun starts to shine,
and you'll see that the face in the moon is mine.

When you start thinking there's no one to love you,
You can talk to me through the sky above you.
I'll whisper my answer through the leaves on the trees,
and you'll feel my presence in the soft summer breeze.

I'm the hot salty tears that flow when you weep
and the beautiful dreams that come while you sleep.
I'm the smile you see on a baby's face.
Just look for me, Mom, I'm everyplace!

Quarter Review

I'm so sick of preparing report for quarter reviews for work and had to endure the long hours of going through such meeting. Sheesh....
Am going to go through my own quarter review.

My 2007 Resolution (might add more to my list)
  1. Not to spend so much in boutiques. Do not buy more than 2 piece of clothing every month and this includes socks, hair accessories and whatsoever. (err....maybe 3 lar....er...WTF!! Not more than 2!!!)
Failed. I bought 2 blouse in Jan, a bunch of CNY clothes in Feb and 5 pieces in March. >_<

  2. Read all the books that I bought. They are not decoration for my shelf. Read at least one book each month.
Failed. Did not even touch one.

  3. Promote the anti-animal cruelty campaigne. There are lots more thing that I could do, like sign petition, donation, do volunteery work.
Doing good. I joined some animal forums and even linked a few animal cruelty websites in my blog.

  4. Try manicure and pedicure. This is a MUST MUST MUST try thing in 2007. I'm dying for the French Manicure. I want my hands look like a princess's hands. ^__^
    Not yet. Soon....soon.....

  5. Loose the kgs. Be at 50.
    Failed. But can dream on.

  6. Change the hairstyle. I'm so bored with my long dull hair. I need new look.
Failed. I just rebonded it in Feb for CNY.

  7. Revamp the face. New look. New look. Learn how to put on make-up from Nai Nai.
Failed (kinda). Although I paid for a studio photo shot with Nai Nai and have them put on excessive make ups on my face, unfortunately, I don't like myself in thick make-ups. Seems like I'm not going to do anything with my pretty. I feel pretty enough now. ^_^

  8. Go travelling to at least one country. And also travel around Malaysia. 2007 is Visit Malaysia Year.
Here's some places that I really want to go:
-Thailand (Haatyai/Bangkok/Phuket) - Sigh, but Thailand is in such a mess lately.
    -Indonesia (Bali/Jakarta)
    -Vietnam
-East Malaysia (Sabah/Sarawak) - Must try Kolo Mee!
Success (kinda). I'd book two destination during Air-Asia free seats promo. I'm going to Bali in June(on my birthday) with Kin Fai and ChiangMai in August with my friends (with Kin Fai too of course). Can't wait!!!

  9. Be a very organize person.
    On-going.

  10. Must not procrastinate with my work anymore.
Failed. I still have a few unfinish report on hand. I need to get them publish by next week. I procrastinate too much. >_<

  11. Throw my junks away. I really need to identify out those junks and chuck them away. Especially my room and my cubicle. -_-
Doing good. I cleaned my cubicle before CNY(but now it seems a bit messy again). And I just reorganized my wardrobe. Threw a lot of stuff away, erm...not really throw, just chuck them into a large box I got from Arco. My room look bigger now. Will start with my desk next week.

  12. Be more independent and not rely 100% on family or bf.
    On-going

  13. Save 10K
    On-going

  14. Buy a white Myvi.
Not yet. Plan to be during the year end.

  15. No more impulse buying.
I guess no more. I started to get better control of myself. There's a few time that I stopped myself from buying something that I don't need.

  16. Learn to make more stuff from my recipe book, not only cheesecake but more variety of cheesecakes. Erm, say....blueberry cheesecake?
Doing good. I just made chocolate and cheese swirl brownies last week.

    Newly added resolution:
  17. Sleep early. During weekdays, make it a dicipline routine to sleep before 12am.

  18. Make good notes from my work. I need to keep track of my every projects and evaluations and also useful tips and technical knowledge. This will be useful if I'm going to make the semiconductor field as my lifelong career.

  19. Love Nici (my new puppy) more and more. :)
